Independent assurance advisory for a Victorian state-owned water corporation undertaking a Finance and Billing transformation program. Engagement included architecture and design risk review, tender readiness assessment, and structured advisory outputs to strengthen the client's position ahead of limited tender release. Platform: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
In Progress: Advisory outputs have positioned the client well for market engagement — with a tightened scope, clearer vendor expectations, and structured guardrails in place to minimise cost variations and delivery ambiguity as they progress through the Request for Tender process.
Azure Landing Zone — Design, Governance & Cost Optimisation
Design and governance of an Azure Landing Zone aligned to the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) for a Victorian government agency. Post-implementation review focused on cost optimisation and return on investment. This included a full TCO review, Azure Policy analysis, resource right-sizing, and reserved instance recommendations.
Outcome: Recommendations delivered annualised savings of approximately $17,000 per year through Azure Policy optimisation, resource right-sizing, and TCO realignment.
Data Warehouse Discovery & RFP Advisory
Led data warehouse platform discovery and option analysis for an enterprise client, including TCO modelling across shortlisted platforms and RFP articulation for competitive market engagement. Advised on Medallion architecture foundations and Microsoft Fabric as the recommended target platform, with Power BI as the reporting layer.
Outcome: Delivered clear technology direction and well-structured RFP guardrails that aligned vendor responses to client expectations — accelerating the path from discovery to market engagement and materially reducing the time to a commercially sound, fit-for-purpose solution.
